Why so Healthy Matcha?
Green tea is amazing. The ancient beverage that’s hot on everyone’s lips. For good reason, we have 8 of them for you.
A natural energy boost
Matcha provides you with good, clean energy that keeps you going for hours. Like all green teas, Matcha does contain caffeine (about 1/3 of an espresso), but the boosting effect is attributed to the combination it’s calmer cousin L-theanine.
Lowers bad cholesterol
Matcha tea lowers LDL (the bad cholesterol) and at the same time increases the levels of HDL (the good cholesterol) which is important for so many of our bodies healthy functions and can help with the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
I’m On Detox
Another popular (again ancient) addition to recent healthy lifestyles is chlorophyll. No need to add this to your smoothie anymore, Matcha contains high levels and this detoxifies the body and can help remove nasty toxins and heavy metals.
Increased metabolism? Burn fat 4x faster!
Matcha tea helps raise your metabolism which can help you burn calories and lose those love handles. Studies show people who include Matcha tea into your daily routine can lose 25% more weight than people who don’t drink it.
Cos I’m Happy
Matcha tea can increase the secretion of serotonin and dopamine, two neurotransmitters that play an important role in stabilising moods and preventing depression. Its calming affect means it is even used prior to meditation.
Anti-aging
Matcha has one of the highest levels of antioxidants available in any food. In fact it has 5 times more antioxidants than Goji Berries! It also fights off disease and protects against UV radiation to help us maintain our skin’s natural, youthful beauty.
Aid Cancer Prevention
As above, matcha tea is full of antioxidants. A powerful one called epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) which is known for its anti-cancer properties. This antioxidant looks for free radicals and eliminates them from the body. Matcha tea contains more than 100 times more of these natural warriors compared to other commercial teas.
Immune Booster
Matcha’s antioxidants support your immune system. With the additional benefits of potassium, vitamin A and C, iron and calcium, you can arm your bodies defenses every day, with every cup.

How Much You Should Drink
Drinking green tea will improve your wellness and overall health. Matcha green tea is a more potent version and the average consumption is 1-2 cups per day.
Everyone responds differently, my wife drinks 1 cup a day before morning meditation, I can drink 7 cups while writing at night and still get straight to sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow 🙂
